There is a rumor that Call of Duty 2020 might get named Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. But nothing got confirmed yet. An official Call of Duty 2020 discloses may take place any day. COD 2020 was about to release on 6th November 2020. But Black Ops 4 and Modern Warfare, shifted the usual release date of November some weeks earlier. So it may get released mid of October in 2020. Official news is not yet out. However, it is more than six months that Call of Duty: Modern Warfaregot released. Keeping in line with its previous release plans, it is expected that an official announcement will take place around the month of May.
If you have been playing each campaign of Call of Duty on expert difficulty since the time of Call of Duty 4, you must be disappointed that Black Ops 4 never included any traditional single-player mode or even narrative. So if after the last year’s successful campaign of Modern Warfare, there is not any campaign of Call of Duty 2020, it will be an excellent shock for its audience.
If you believe in Vietnam and Korea's rumor wars, then the options of an alternate reality are unlimited, as they were never touched upon substantially before in this franchise. COD Black Ops 3, which was the last Treyarch campaign got positioned in 2065 at the time of Cold War III. It came to an end with the main lead dying. It is quite unlikely that it will continue this narrative chronologically.
Treyarch developed Call of Duty: The Red Door, and since the time of Call of Duty 3, they have not released any title of Call of Duty that had no Zombies mode. So it is an assumption that the Zombies mode may come back in Call of Duty 2020. Jason Blundell, who is the director of Zombies gameplay for the past few instalments, is working so that the odds appear great. So you can expect that Zombies mode will return.
Players are also thinking whether it will include a league play or some ranked mode. No one is sure about it, but it is probable as Treyarch is the most trustworthy developer in this previous series for league play. For some time, ranked play in this series was a sensitive subjective. It has been a part of most games. But it is not included in Modern Warfare almost 6 months on from its release. Activision’s obvious unwillingness to back it in-game is perplexing.
As per Activision, Call of Duty: The Red Door is on track for release in 2020. But no latest details such as who is the developer or whether it will launch on the upcoming generation of consoles are clear. They also have two undisclosed titles for PC as well as consoles build on the current intellectual property along with latest mobile games getting released later in 2020.
Any details on the PC titles or latest console of COD 2020 are not enough now. But it is evident that its mobile launches will be the extension of current console as well as PC franchises. There is also no proper news related to ways to download or install the game.
Activision has been taking care of Call of Duty 2020’s release slightly differently by associating up Sledgehammer with Raven for tackling this project together. It is quite similar to the ways Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward associated on Modern Warfare 3. There is a small change but it will never disrupt the pattern of Activision. They also have two undisclosed titles for PC as well as consoles build on the current intellectual property along with latest mobile games getting released later in 2020.
Irrespective of what will happen, something is up with Call of Duty 2020 as Activision is particularly modest regarding who is relay responsible for this game.
