Crysis was a First-person shooter released by EA and developed by Crytek in 2007. The game was released during the time where realism in games were being pushed to be more believable. Crysis was seen at the top tier of these games in turns of graphics compared to the other games at the time. Even years after the game was released, it became the example people used for an example as to how good games could look. Even years after, graphics would advance and we would see graphical effects that would impress developers and gamers alike. Crysis was a great game back then and is only going to improve with the remaster.

Graphics were one of the biggest features that was praised in the original Crysis. It only makes sense that Crytek pushes the boundaries again by allowing 8K resolution. This isn't something that every gamer has access to, because you will need a very strong graphics card as well as a top of the line monitor. But if you do have those things, these features allow you to push your PC to the limit and make this 13 year old game look brand new. The franchise ended in 2013, but it's great for gamers who have better PCs to push their hardware once again.
Ray Tracing allows the game to have much better mirroring for itself than when it did before. Even years after Crysis released, being able to mirror certain objects in a game was seen as something as incredibly impressive. Now games are able to handle these effects much better and games look better for it. Most of the Ray tracing is on water or floors so it's not going to look as good as what it's mirroring, but it still looks very realistic. This was one of the aspects that really pushed the game to its limits at the original release.
Facial animations - Crysis Remastered
The facial animations look a lot better then when they previously did at launch. The developers probably didn't focus as much on the faces because their priorities were on the environments, visual effects and making the gameplay as realistic as possible. Now you get to see more realistic faces rendered in higher detail. It distracts the player less from being a video game and now feels like a full on interactive movie. Not only that, but it's able to do this on consoles and very standard PCs.
The environments were one of the highpoints of the original Crysis. This was something that most developers put effort into the design being practical but it wasn't always pretty to look at. The Crysis sequels would work hard to improve the visuals of environments in the upcoming games, but in the original, the areas haven't aged the best. This is a great opportunity for something that didn't look the best in the original and really amaze people who are playing this for the first time. This is definitely something that the first Crysis needed.
Gameplay still runs smoothly regardless of what platform you are playing on. The gunplay might be a bit standard if you have played a lot of first-person shooters, but to some others this looks really dynamic. It takes a lot of the traditions you see with COD or Battlefield and tries to add more to it. It wanted to add futuristic elements to the gunplay, while still being easy to play. The center of the gameplay and the story is the nanosuit. It allows the player to take a stealthy approach or a more tanky approach depending on how they want to take the situation.
This would be further developed in sequels to the Crysis franchise, but the options are the most limited here. Some of the guns in this game are ones that you've seen from other FPS titles, but there are also some others that are completely original. When you do use an original weapon, that works well to separate it from a lot of the other shooters that you see. If you're a gamer who wants more variety in their cover shooters, you will find something to like in this experience. It's something that every gamer should experience as a feat of visuals for modern gaming.
